Chef Claudy Pierre,
Founder of Eminent Hospitality Solutions Co. and The EAT Initiative

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Chef Claudy Pierre was trained and educated at the Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts and the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the Hill District CDC’s inaugural Do It Now! Cohort, a strategic partner with the American Heart Association and the YMCA, a member of the BMe community, and a leader in the Haitian American Caucus. Chef Claudy is also a member of Macedonia Church of Pittsburgh, and the former owner of Culture Bar & Restaurant in the Cultural District of Downtown, Pittsburgh, PA. Culture was a vibrant and elegant eatery in the Downtown area. Chef Claudy is an award honoree for of the International Humanitarian Outreach Ministries Inc. (IHOM) and recipient of the BMe Genius Award for his service in the community. Upon receiving the Genius Award, Chef Claudy received a letter of recognition from President Barack Obama. Chef Claudy is also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Naomi is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and a two-time graduate of Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit. In 2014, Naomi received her Bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric & Political Science (double major) with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communications, and in 2017, a Masters of the Arts in Social and Public Policy, with a concentration in Policy Analysis and Administration. Though a recent graduate, Naomi has been passionate about policy reform and food security for communities of color since her early days at Duquesne. Her current professional experience in the realm of arts education and policy innovation includes (but is not limited to) research and data analysis on food and economic policy in relation to communities of color. Recently, Naomi has worked with the local non-profit organizations, the Urban Redevelopment Authority, 4-H of Allegheny County, and the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council, to improve the disparities in the aforementioned areas. Naomi’s ultimate goal is to alleviate the wage disparity that is felt most in communities of color, while simultaneously serving as a role model to young women.
